    Advanced Biology – Human A & P

This week you need to finish reading Module 10 and answering the OYO questions. Take your Module 10 test OPEN BOOK at home this week. I recommend doing it on Monday so you’ve got it done and out of the way! No study guide or CBE for this module. If you haven’t done your lab report for the eye dissection you need to do this and turn it in this week. Then begin reading Module 11, p. 340-355 and answer the OYO questions for these pages. We will have an open book quiz at the beginning of class on Friday.

This week, finish reading the module, p. 299-307, and complete the OYO questions. If you didn’t turn in a lab report on the brain dissection, make sure you complete that this week and turn it in on Friday. You’ll also need to do the coloring book exercises I passed out in class, and the study guide questions. Remember to focus in on what we have covered in class when studying for the test on this module. In class this week we will NOT have a quiz. We will finish going over the chapter content and then spend the last half of class on the dissection of the cow eye.

This week you need to take Module 8 test at home and bring it back to class Friday. Begin reading Module 9, p. 268-298, and answer OYO questions. We will have a quiz at the beginning of class on the reading from this week. You all did a great job in our dissection lab! I would like you to complete a Lab Report on what we did in class Friday. It will need to include your name, date, the purpose of the lab, what materials were used, procedure (how it was done), and results/conclusions. You can just type this up with a few sentences for each of these sections. Please…

This week you need to finish reading the module, p. 260-263, and complete the OYO. Also, you will need to complete the SGQ and the CBE I gave you in class. Remember that we’ve already done some of the SGQ in class together when we labeled the diagrams! Study for your test on this module. Right now the tracking on the shipping says that we should get the brains in time for us to dissect them on Friday in class. Hopefully that works out! If not, we will move on to the next module in class and then take a class time later to do the dissection, whenever they do…

This week complete the test for Module 6. Then start reading Module 7 and answering the OYO questions. I suggested in class that you may want to go ahead and try to complete this module for the most part this week if you can. Doing so will give you more time to be ready for the midterm which will be given in class on our last day before Christmas break. I hope to have the study guide for this to you this Friday in class, or at the very latest it will be emailed to you early the next week (Thanksgiving week). The midterm will cover Modules 1-7.

Finish reading Module 6 this week. Finish the OYO questions as you read, and complete the study guide. It’s really important that you begin to commit to memory the muscle names and be able to label the diagrams on the study guide. This is not something that you are going to be able to do quickly. It will take time, so don’t procrastinate on this chapter! It’s a lot! You will need to correctly spell the muscles as well as label them for the test on this module. Remember that many of them have clues in their names about where they are located. If you have any work from previous…
