Lingua Latina Advanced for September 1st
Well done in class this last Friday! Homework for the majority was done well and quiz grades were very good! Keep up the good work! On Friday we covered Visual Latin lessons 5-8. Review the concepts introduced in these lessons and complete the work. There will be a quiz that covers through lesson 8. REMEMBER: you are now responsible for all work from lessons 1-8. Language courses build on previous knowledge, so you cannot set aside previous material. It would be wise to review LESSONS 1-8 before Friday. Also remember that completion of homework is part of your grade and is checked every week. If you don’t understand a concept…

Shurley Grammar 6 for August 25th
We had an interesting class this Friday with one student in class and one student participating via FaceTime! It went well, though, and we hope to have Macrae back with us next Friday. We were able to complete chapter 1, lesson 3 in class. It covered the first half of the vocabulary (4 terms) and how to do our vocabulary. Vocabulary words are listed on pages 7-8 of the workbook and the reference box for how to do the vocabulary is on page 9. Students will need to have a binder or notebook in which to write their vocabulary, essays, and other assignments. I do not require the journaling assignments that…

In class we worked on parts of lesson 2-4. Review this material and finish all assignments we didn’t get to in class. Even if you can do this easily all in one day, try to spend a little time each day reviewing the grammar concepts and vocabulary. It is MUCH BETTER to practice your Latin EVERYDAY! You will have a quiz on Friday that covers lessons 1-4. P.S. Can you tell that discupuli latini is “plural and masculine”? P.S.S. You always use masculine…
