    3rd – 6th Grade Bible Week 1

    Welcome to Bible class!  This week you will read Chapters 1 – 4 in the New Testament section of The Children’s Story Bible.  It begins on page 263.  Your memory verse for this week is John 14:6.  There is a section in your binder where I typed out all of the memory verses.  Don’t forget to practice your Sanctifinders.  You will have to make copies of the one provided in the notebook.  I hope you all have a great week!

    Welcome to First Form Latin, Year 2!     Science Fair I am so proud of everyone’s accomplishments in our Science Fair! You all did awesome! Congratulations on a job well done! Please hang on to your boards. I need to check with the end-of-the-year program coordinator to see if there will be room to display all of them. I know there were some of our families who couldn’t make it to the science fair. So this would give them an opportunity to see the displays. If space is an issue for the end-of-the-year program, we may display the top three from each age category.     Elementary Physics and Chemistry

    Just in case you aren’t getting my emails, here’s the assignments for the next week: Science Fair Project If you haven’t finished reading about your project, finish that up this week. Most of your time this week should be spent on the experiment portion of the project. After the experiments are completed, information should be filled out for the Data Analysis and Conclusion pages in your science fair folder. Be sure to remember to bring the science fair folder Friday. I will be checking them during lunch. Next week, we will begin putting all the information on the tri-fold board.     Reading Begin reading Electrifying our World. We will have a special speaker, Derek McGill, teaching our class. With this being his area of expertise, I believe this Friday will be a very interesting class! It would be great if the kids have some previous knowledge before his presentation on Friday.     Shurley English 6 for February 1st

    Can you believe that our next Friday is in February? Finish Chapter 19, Lessons 2-4. Make sure you  understand the difference between a Predicate Nominative and a Direct Object. Turn in your Final Copy for “The Fox and the Grapes.” Be sure to include 2 figures of description (FODs) and label them in your paper by underlining or italicizing the FOD and then putting the name of the FOD in parentheses after the FOD.
