Lingua Latina (Advanced) for October 2nd
You are doing a great job translating Chapter 1. For next Friday finish Visual Latin Lesson 18. Also, re-read Chapter 1 of Lingua Latina. Read it slowly JUST IN LATIN. You are already very familiar with the grammar concepts. Finish Pensum B and Pensum C. Pensum C should be completed in complete Latin sentences. Have a great week!

Well done on your classwork Friday! You completed all of Visual Latin Lesson 10 in class, so there is no written homework. Do review all vocabulary and any grammar forms we have covered this year. Quiz for Friday: Be able to put the adjective “bonus, a, um” in ALL 30 forms just like we did in class. There will also be 5 vocabulary words. Congratulations on making it to the Lingua Latina book! Fun! Fun! Fun! Remember – BRING YOUR LINGUA LATINA BOOK TO CLASS! Finish Visual Latin Lesson 17 Friday’s Quiz will be the present tense active endings AND the present tense passive endings found on page 85 of your VL binder. Finish reading Lingua Latina Chapter 1. You will start at the 8th paragraph and read to the Grammatica Latina section on page 10.

Finish Visual Latin Lessons 6 & 7. We did most of these in class. Practice memorizing the chart on page 23. Do this everyday if possible. These endings need to be second nature before you move on! You CAN do it! Quiz for Friday: Know the entire chart on page 23, Feminine, Masculine, & Neuter. I will give you a chart minus the endings. YOU will supply the endings! Have a great week. Finish Visual Latin Lessons 14 & 15 QUIZ for Friday: The Interrogative Pronoun Chart on page 58. Also know that the Relative Pronoun Chart on page 67 is the same chart, save the 3 exceptions. KNOW the 3 exceptions! The quiz will be a chart with everything but the Latin pronouns. You will fill in the Latin with Interrogative Pronouns and then list the 3 exceptions for Relative Pronouns separately. Make sure you bring your Lingua Latina textbook to class this Friday!
