    Well done for our first Latin class. You each did a great job with your homework and classwork. As we discussed in class, your homework is to finish Visual Latin lessons 2 & 3.     Lingua Latina Advanced for September 4th

    Well done for our first class!  We accomplished what I hoped we would.  You all did a great job.  Keep up the good work. Your assignment is to work through Visual Latin Lessons 6, 7, & 8 at home. Review any words that were difficult for you from the first 5 lessons.  They will appear again and again in future (harder) lessons and will cause you trouble if you don’t nail them down now.  Some of these tricky words might be:  deinde – then, dicit -says, fiat – let there be, ubi – where?, iam – now, quoque – also, bellum – war (when a noun) beautiful (when an adjective). …

    3rd Form Latin for May 15th

    Welcome to the last week of school! Please study Lesson 31 in your book. Your last quiz will ONLY be the “Irregular Comparison of Adverbs” Chart on page 94.  For bonus know the saying “multum in parvo” I will bring copies of the first lesson of next year’s Latin.  I thought you might like seeing how Lingua Latina is structured.  I’m so incredibly proud of all of you.     Shurley Grammar 5 for May 8th

    3rd Form Latin for May 8th

    Lesson 30! Review Lesson 30 in textbook. Do Lesson 30 exercises in workbook. Verb to conjugate is “finio, finire, finivi, finitus”  This is a regular 4th conjugation verb. I’m so proud of all my Latin scholars!

    3rd Form Latin for May 1st

    Lesson 29 Review the lesson paying close attention to the irregular comparatives.  It is helpful to say them out loud several times a day. Do workbook exercise for Lesson 29. Quiz 29 on Friday.  Word to FULLY conjugate is pono, ponere, posui, positus.  It is 3rd conjugation (no “bo’s” in its futures)
