Finish workbook exercises for lesson 7, EXCEPT exercise B on page 32.  We will do those in class together. Try to take three days to fill out the vocabulary drill sheet.  You have 12 words this week, so you’ll need to squeeze in two of the words somewhere on the page. (There are only ten blanks on the vocabulary drill sheet.)  There is no new grammar for this week, but I’ll give you five extra points on your quiz if you do the drill review sheet with the chart on page 20. Study the chapter 5 study guide that I passed out.  Begin memorizing charts from it. Prepare for a Lesson 5 vocabulary quiz to be given Friday.

We’ve made it through the review.  Woo hoo! Please finish page 25, 7-12.  We completed the rest of the page in class. Finish Lesson VI workbook exercises EXCEPT exercise B on page 28. (We’ll do those together in class.) There are only 8 vocab. words, but a very important chart to pretty much memorize.  I have sent a copy of  the chart to keep in their books. Also, they need to fill in the grammar/vocabulary worksheet that was passed out in class.  They should return it on Friday.  If possible, please have them take three separate days to complete this sheet. We are almost finished with the review lessons, and each of you have hung in there magnificently!  Keep up the good work! For Friday, please complete Lesson V worksheets.  This lesson was on 1st/2nd declension  adjectives.  Which means that each of these adjectives can be declined to match its noun in THIRTY different ways!  You need to know how to fully decline each adjective.  Don’t forget the adverbs, prepositions, and conjunctions. This week: finish the whales chapter and watch Free Willy for fun. Because the syllabus is listed on this page, I will not be continuing to post assignments each week.  If there are revisions, I will send an email.  I sent one this week, so please check to be sure you received it.

I am very proud of your quiz grades from Friday.  Keep up the good work! Finish exercises for Lesson 4. Quiz for Friday:  Lesson 4, page 16.  BE VERY CAREFUL memorizing, or rememorizing, these 3rd declension nouns.  There are often stem changes between the nominative and genitive forms, and you MUST KNOW BOTH.  You will not be quizzed on the constellations.  Don’t forget your numbers and Latin sayings.
