Read/translate lines 9-71 of Lingua Latina, chapter XII. Quiz for Friday: Know the case endings for 4th declension nouns. (The apeman endings) Also know the endings for comparative adjectives. These two items are on pages 1 and 2 of the handout I gave you on Friday.

Latina Christiana II for March 31st
Please complete lesson XXII. We will do Exercise B, page 98 together in class. For Friday’s quiz know this week’s Latin saying and vocabulary. Also, be able to decline fons, fontis. I highly encourage the students to use Quizlet this week or some other method to help in memorizing this week’s vocabulary. The words look deceptively easy, but they are not words that stick in the memory very well.

Welcome back from spring break! Eight weeks left! You can do it! Finish Lesson XXI. We didn’t get a lot of it done in class due to the Review Test. We’ll do Exercise B, page 94 together this Friday. I’ll put lesson XXI vocabulary on Quizlet Monday.

I hope everyone had a great spring break! Congratulation to Claire on becoming an aunt to an adorable baby boy! Your only assignment for the week is to finish translating Lingua Latina, Chapter XI. There is no quiz this week, but I will give you a grade on how well you know the plot of the chapter.

Latina Christiana II for March 10th
This Friday is our Unit IV Test! You need to know the Latin sayings, vocabulary, and grammar forms on page 90. Also, know the 1st, 2nd, and 4th conjugation endings for regular principal parts. Be able to conjugate “audio” with meanings in the present and imperfect tenses. Be able to decline “lex” and “pars.” Know the gender rules for 3rd declension nouns. Study hard; you’re doing great!
