Happy Thanksgiving! We finished all of Lesson 1 of Chapter 13 in class and started our essays in Lesson 5. Please complete the rest of Chapter 13 at home. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I’ll see you in December!

Happy Thanksgiving! Your assignment for December 4th is to complete VL Lesson 20. There will be a quiz on the Dec. 4th on 3rd Person Personal Pronouns. The chart is found in VL Lesson 20. You need to know both the Latin and the English. Have a great break!

This week please complete Chapter 12. We have a new sentence pattern (#2), so be on the lookout for direct objects. I have replaced the writing assignment in lesson 5 with the personality poems in lesson 1. We did two in class, so finish at home by doing one each for the rest of your family members (in your house). Make sure to follow the instructions exactly on page 211 of the Teacher’s Manual.

For this week complete Visual Latin Lesson 19. Also complete Lingua Latina Capitulum III Pensa B and C. Remember to write in complete, neat sentences. You will have a quiz Friday on VL 19 charts (1st and 2nd personal pronouns).

This week complete the test for Module 6. Then start reading Module 7 and answering the OYO questions. I suggested in class that you may want to go ahead and try to complete this module for the most part this week if you can. Doing so will give you more time to be ready for the midterm which will be given in class on our last day before Christmas break. I hope to have the study guide for this to you this Friday in class, or at the very latest it will be emailed to you early the next week (Thanksgiving week). The midterm will cover Modules 1-7.

Finish reading Module 6 this week. Finish the OYO questions as you read, and complete the study guide. It’s really important that you begin to commit to memory the muscle names and be able to label the diagrams on the study guide. This is not something that you are going to be able to do quickly. It will take time, so don’t procrastinate on this chapter! It’s a lot! You will need to correctly spell the muscles as well as label them for the test on this module. This week, complete your take home OPEN BOOK test for module 5, and bring it back to class to turn in for grading. Read p. 170-186 and answer the OYO questions. It would be best to go ahead and begin working on memorizing the names and locations of the muscles that you read about this week, since there are a lot in this chapter. This week, finish reading the module, p. 160-165, and complete the OYO’s and the study guide, and study for the test. We will have an open-book quiz in class, and I’ll have Module 5 test for you to take and complete at home.

Please complete Chapter 9 this week. The crossword/word search puzzle activity in Lesson 1 is not required, but could be fun if you have time. If you decide to do this activity, you will receive extra credit.
