    This week we are in Chapter 12. Please complete vocabulary 2, practice sentences, test 12,  practice section p. 67 in student manual, and daily grams. (The activity on TM p. 215 is optional.) Remember that our writing assignments are now coming from Classical Composition, not Shurley English 6. Composition: We started the lesson one outline in class but could not complete it due to time limitations. I’m inclosing a link to the instruction page for the outline as well as the sample outline.  Parents, please guide your students in completing the outline, and then have them complete Variations part 2.     This is Review Lesson 2 week!!! That means instead of a small lesson quiz, we will have a unit test covering  Lessons 6-10. Of course, we can’t forget Lessons 1-5 because each lesson builds on the last. Be sure to take Lesson Quiz 10 this week and complete Review Lesson 2. There are no drill sheets this week, but do study all your words, sayings, and grammar forms.

    Please complete Chapter 11, Lesson 1 skill and practice time on page TM 193 and 196-197, practice sentences, vocabulary list 2, and tests 11a & 11b. We started our classical writing journey on Friday. Please review the definitions for recognition, suffering, and reversal.  Finish variations part 1 on pages 10-11.  We will continue this lesson on Friday.

    Welcome back from fall break; I hope your break was as fun and restful as mine! This week, finish Chapter 8 work including vocabulary list 2, practice sentences, studying the helping verbs and the irregular verb chart, the activity on page TM 144 (pick 4 members of your family – we will share these in class), test 8, and the writing assignment on page TM 150.
