Good job in class this Friday! For September 2nd, please re-translate Lesson 1, finish Pensa A, B, & C, and study marked vocabulary for quiz this coming Friday. I will give you the English; you will give me the Latin. Remember to give the dictionary form (the same that is on the handout I gave you).

We covered a lot of material in class Friday (26th), but I believe we will benefit from staying on Lesson 1 one more week. So, for this week, please complete Lesson 1 exercises and study, study, study everything on page 4. Disregard the Vocab/Grammar Drill Sheets that I passed out for this week. We will start those in Lesson 6. There will be a quiz on next Friday (2nd) covering Lesson 1.

Welcome back to school and Latin! For this week, please review page 4.  This is material from last year, so hopefully you will not find it difficult 🙂 I have set up a quizlet account for our class in order to have a fun way to review vocabulary.  You can go to quizlet.com. Under classes you will search for Latina Christiana II, Excelsior.  You should find lesson 1 there.  Let me know if you have problems.  Quizlet isn’t mandatory, just fun! Finish translating Lingua Latina, Chapter 6. We left off at the top of page 43. Quiz for Friday. I will orally ask you questions about your reading (in English). You will be graded on how well you remember what you read! You will answer in English, as well.

Read Lingua Latina, Chapter 13 through line 79. Quiz for Friday:  5th Declension chart and the 1st 20 vocabulary words on pages 101-102 on the sidebar.  I’ll give you the Latin.

Finish translating Lingua Latina, Chapter 12. Answer Pensum C questions in complete sentences. Quiz for Friday:  Vocabulary list on LL page 94.  I will give you the Latin this time.

Finish Visual Latin, Lesson 25 Quiz for Friday:  11-31 of the vocabulary words on page 136.  This time I will give you the Latin, and you will give me the English.
