Latina Christiana for February 8th
Please finish work for Lesson 13. You will have a quiz on 13 to take home with you Friday. Also, review vocabulary for Lessons 1-5. Scarlett and Mary-Esther will “quiz” you with flashcards from these lessons. Have a great week!

Shurley English 6 for February 1st
Can you believe that our next Friday is in February? Finish Chapter 19, Lessons 2-4. Make sure you understand the difference between a Predicate Nominative and a Direct Object. Turn in your Final Copy for “The Fox and the Grapes.” Be sure to include 2 figures of description (FODs) and label them in your paper by underlining or italicizing the FOD and then putting the name of the FOD in parentheses after the FOD.

Shurley English 6 for January 25th
Happy MLK Jr. day! Your parents permitting, you may take an English break today! For the week, finish chapter 18, lessons 1-4. Don’t forget to consistently review your vocabulary. The questions in the vocabulary section of your tests are worth 2 points each, and you can easily drop a letter grade if you’re not careful. For Composition, there is no writing assignment, but you will have a quiz on the following terms (figures of description or FODS): Anemographia, Dendrographia, Ethopoeia, Astrothesia, Chorographia, and Chronographia. The quiz will be matching😀

Latina Christiana for January 25th
Ivy, please review all sayings, vocabulary, and grammar forms from Review Lesson 2. This covers Lessons 6-10. The goal is to know the translation quickly when given the Latin. And, don’t forget to “Never Gag Down An Ant!”

Latina Christiana for January 18th
Ivy, Study, study, study the words from Review Lesson 1 that we circled in class. Also, learn the Latin saying and vocabulary for Lesson 11. Finally, review the singular and plural adjective charts in Lessons 11 and 12.

Shurley Grammar English for January 4th
Finish Chapter 14, lessons 2-4. Due to the New Year’s holiday, there will be NO composition this week! Hopefully, this will allow you to not have to work on your grammar on New Year’s Eve.

Latina Christiana for November 16th
This is Review Lesson 2 week!!! That means instead of a small lesson quiz, we will have a unit test covering Lessons 6-10. Of course, we can’t forget Lessons 1-5 because each lesson builds on the last. Be sure to take Lesson Quiz 10 this week and complete Review Lesson 2. There are no drill sheets this week, but do study all your words, sayings, and grammar forms.

Please complete Lesson 10 and prepare for quiz 10. Also, do your three drill sheets and take quiz 9. Next week is review of Unit 2 which means a big test is coming up. Any extra time you spend reviewing grammar concepts, vocabulary, and Latin sayings will be well worth it!
