Complete Lingua Latina, Chapter VI Pensa  B & C. Quiz for Friday:  2nd half of LL, Ch. 6 vocabulary and questions from 2nd sheet of LL, Ch. 6 Grammar notes.

Finish translating Lingua Latina, Chapter 6. Do Pensum A. Quiz for Friday:  Vocabulary LL Chapter 6, a through longus.  Also, be able to put verbs in the present passive voice.  (The first section on your LL Chapter 6 grammar sheets.  For a further review of the passive voice, see your Visual Latin, Lesson 17 worksheets.

Read (in Latin) slowly through Lingua Latina, Chapter 5. Complete Pensa B & C. You should have Pensum A already finished. Quiz from last week will be this week’s quiz.

Finish reading/translating Lingua Latina, chapter 5. Do Pensum A only. Quiz for Friday:  Vocabulary for LL ch 5 (ab – fenestra). Also, from your LL ch 5 grammar notes, be able to put any 1st or 2nd declension noun in the accusative or ablative cases, both singular and plural.

Almost Christmas!!! Please finish any quizzes with a parent and have them sign them. Do Visual Latin, Lesson 20C (the Bible story translation). Finish translating Lingua Latina, Chapter 4. Quiz for Friday:  Memorize LL, Chapter 4 Vocabulary abest-octo (1st 17 words).  There will also be questions from LL, Chapter 4 Grammar notes, the vocative case – the imperative mood of verbs sections only.

Welcome back from Thanksgiving!  We have two weeks until Christmas break so stay strong! Finish Visual Latin, Lesson 20. Your quiz for Friday will be the second half of Lingua Latina, Chapter III vocabulary and the Grammar through personal pronouns.  Also,  you will be required to give the Latin third person pronouns from the chart on page VL 104.  I will give you the English.

On Friday we covered Visual Latin lessons 5-8.  Review the concepts introduced in these lessons and complete the work.  There will be a quiz that covers through lesson 8.  REMEMBER:  you are now responsible for all work from lessons 1-8.  Language courses build on previous knowledge, so you cannot set aside previous material.  It would be wise to review LESSONS 1-8 before Friday.
