Shurley Grammar 6 for January 12th

We started Chapter 16 in class Friday.  Please finish this week’s vocabulary, practice sentences, and test.  Do not do lesson 5.  Your writing assignment is in your Classical Composition I (Fable Stage) book.

We will take 3 weeks to complete this first lesson. In class I read the lesson 1 fable to the students.  They each repeated the story in their own words.  We began to write down some vocabulary and definitions that will help them understand the fable better.  The students need to finish these vocabulary words (disdainfully, ascend, boast, borne, aloft). Next, skip the three component parts on page 10 (we will do this in class together) and complete at home variations: part 1 on page 10-11.
