First Form Latin, Year 2 for April 10th
This week we are starting Lesson XXXII. Work on memorizing the Second Conjugation – Perfect System Chart. I will post a video on the Excelsior Facebook page on Tuesday. To conjugate verbs in the Perfect System you need to start with the perfect stem which is based on the 3rd Principal Part. It’s very important from here on out that every time you memorize a new verb, you memorize it by its 4 Principal Parts. For example: the verb “love” = amo, amare, amavi, amatus. This lesson has six verbs that have irregular principal parts and must be memorized individually.
Friday’s quiz will be on the chart.
For extra credit, be able to tell me where a successful general would have a grand procession. The answer is in your text.
