apparition:  a ghost or spirit of a dead person

extricate:  to free or remove (someone or something) from something (such as a trap or a difficult situation)

flitted:  to have moved quickly from one place or thing to another

supplication:  the act of asking for something in a respectful way

accoutrement:  a piece of clothing or equipment that is used in a particular place or for a particular activity
