First Form Latin, Year 2 for May 1st

Salvete!

This week we are continuing with our year-end review.  We will take part 2 of the final exam this week.

We will be completing Lesson XXXIII this week. This is a review of Unit V. Your assignment is to finish the workbook pages of Lesson XXXIII.

For the next two weeks you will be taking parts of your FINAL EXAM.

Your TEST will be from Lesson XXXIV and some of Lessons XVI & XVIII.  I will test you on all 6 tenses of the 2nd conjugation verb “moneo.”  Also, the test will cover the 2nd column of verbs from page 85, narro – vulnero.  I will give you the English and you will give me the Latin.  For example:  to tell = narro, are, avi, atus.  Also:  to respond/answer = respondeo, respondere, respondi, responsus.  So, if the verb is regular you will write the answer like the “to tell” example.  If the verb is irregular you will write the answer out completely like the “to respond” example.   Lastly, you will need to know the vocabulary from Lessons XVI and XVIII.  Again, I will give the English, and you will give the Latin in COMPLETE DICTIONARY FORM.  If the word is a noun you will give the nominative singular, genitive ending, and the gender.  If the word is a adjective you will give the masculine form, and the feminine and neuter endings.

Your bonus will be to decline 2 regular nouns, one from first declension and one from second declension.  They are worth 3 points each for a total of 6 points.
